The Problem With Idle Cash

Cash sitting in an operating account earns nothing

Most NZ small businesses hold working capital in low-interest transaction accounts for liquidity reasons. That balance loses real value every month it sits unused, while typical fund and brokerage fees erode whatever gains are made elsewhere.

Zero-fee execution

Crown Capitholm charges no commission, no spread markup, and no monthly account fee. Every dollar of return generated by the model stays with your business. This is a structural choice, not a promotional rate.

Liquidity-first design

Positions are sized against your stated withdrawal schedule, so funds needed for payroll or supplier payments remain accessible.

Continuous re-analysis

The model reassesses allocations daily using updated market and account data, rather than on a fixed quarterly cycle.

NZ market calibration

Recommendations account for local interest rate settings, banking cycles, and short-term wholesale money market conditions.

How The Engine Works

A four-step allocation process, run daily

The system does not guess. It ingests defined data sets, scores allocation options against your constraints, and executes only within pre-approved risk bands.

01 — Ingest

Data collection

Cash balances, upcoming liabilities, and market data are pulled each morning before markets open.

02 — Score

Model scoring

Instruments are ranked on liquidity, yield, and volatility against your risk profile.

03 — Allocate

Position sizing

Allocations are capped so no single instrument exceeds your pre-set concentration limit.

04 — Execute

Zero-fee execution

Orders route to settlement without added commission, spread, or platform charge.

Data sources used

  • Short-dated NZ government securities pricingDaily

Risk mitigation

Capital is only allocated to instruments with same-day or next-day liquidity, and no position is held that would prevent access to funds within your declared notice period. The model does not use leverage and does not hold speculative derivatives.

Decision Support

One dashboard, updated in real time

Every allocation, rate, and fee line is visible. Nothing is aggregated away or hidden behind a summary score.

Cost & Credibility

Fees compared, not just claimed

About Crown Capitholm

Built for businesses, not trading desks

Crown Capitholm was built specifically for small business cash management, not general investing. The model's constraints reflect the realities of running a business in New Zealand: irregular receivables, seasonal cash cycles, and the need for funds to be accessible on short notice.

We do not charge fees because our margin comes from operating efficiency, not from taking a cut of your returns. That structure is explained in full on our about page.

Questions From NZ Business Owners

Liquidity, model logic, and onboarding

Can I access my cash if I need it urgently?
Standard withdrawals settle within 24 hours. If you require same-day access, keep a portion of funds in the uninvested operating reserve tier, which is not allocated and remains immediately available.
Will my funds ever be locked into a long-term instrument?
No. The model only allocates to instruments with maturities and liquidity terms matching or shorter than the notice period you set during onboarding.
What data does the AI actually use to make decisions?
It uses your cash-flow history, declared liquidity needs, current NZ interest rate benchmarks, and short-term instrument pricing. It does not use speculative signals such as social sentiment or price momentum.
How is the model prevented from taking excessive risk?
Allocation limits, instrument eligibility, and concentration caps are fixed parameters set before onboarding and cannot be overridden by the model in a live session.
What does onboarding involve?
You connect a business bank account for balance visibility, set your liquidity and risk parameters, and confirm your withdrawal notice period. Allocation begins after this configuration is reviewed.
Why is there really no fee?
Crown Capitholm operates on infrastructure margin rather than a percentage of client returns. The fee schedule is documented in the transparency section above and reviewed on request.
